Jada Pinkett Smith tells Salon about her new memoir "Worthy," in which she grapples with suicidal thoughts, reminisces on her relationship with Tupac and shares what she thinks about "the slap." Pinkett Smith talks to fellow Baltimore native D. Watkins about teaching her kids about where she grew up and why she put so much work into healing. "I just was tired of hurting," she said. "My whole life has been about seeking answers so that I can just have a more easeful time here."
